Taylor brings 14 years of wildland firefighting and rescue experience to Wasatch Technical Rescue. His extensive background in both technical rescue and wildland fire operations provides students with a unique perspective on emergency response and incident management.
Currently serving as Battalion Chief overseeing rescue operations for Utah County Fire, Taylor specializes in swiftwater rescue, rope rescue, ice rescue, and SCUBA operations. His leadership experience in high-stakes environments translates directly into practical, real-world instruction that prepares students for the challenges they'll face in the field.
With certifications as an Engine Boss and Wildland Type 1 firefighter, Taylor understands the critical importance of team coordination, risk assessment, and adaptive problem-solving under pressure. His expertise in both technical rescue and wildland firefighting operations makes him a valuable asset to WTR and our students.
